2022 Great Plains Sub-Soiler VT1500
With a choice of no-till or straight leg shanks, the Sub-Soiler eliminates yield-robbing compaction layers and soil density changes – all in one pass.
DESTROY LAYERSThe Great Plains VT1500 Inline Sub-Soiler eliminates yield-robbing compaction layers as it delivers all of the benefits of true vertical tillage: enhanced water infiltration, strong root development, and increased nutrient uptake. Reset your soil profile by achieving depths up to 16". The VT1500 offers spring-loaded 20" utility coulters; durable high chrome alloy points and shins; and an all-new, high-protection trip pack shank option with a 2,000-lb. trip force that withstands even the rockiest conditions on your operation.
Features may include:
CHOICE OF AUTO-RESET OR SHEAR BOLT SHANK MOUNTSWith 3,000 lb. trip force, the Auto-Reset Shanks provide stop-free operation in areas where sub-surface obstructions exist. Alternatively, the Shear Bolt Mounts provide obstruction protection at a lower purchase cost than the Auto-Reset Shanks. New for 2022! 2,000 lb. high-protection trip pack auto-reset shanks enhance performance and reduce shear bolt breakage in rocky conditions.
CHOOSE SHANK STYLEChoose a 1¼" straight-legged shank or a 3/4" no-till shank. The no-till shank is not as aggressive as the straight-legged shank in turning the soil over and covering residue, so it should be used where less ground disturbance is desired. Replaceable wear shins are standard for either shank option.
CHOOSE POINT STYLEThe 1¼" straight-legged shank is available with points in 2" or 7" widths. These can be ordered with or without fins (fins minimize blowout). The ¾" no-till shank is only available with a 10" no-till point that minimizes surface disturbance and residue burial while maximizing soil-structure-shatter below. New for 2022! Points and shins are now manufactured from a new chrome alloy that substantially extends the wear life of the points and reduces potential breakage of the shins. Plus, a new 4" no-till point is available for no-till shanks set on 24" spacing. These smaller points allow the machine to operate at shallower depths (10"-12") with less horsepower while still achieving maximum soil fracture.
20" HEAVY-DUTY UTILITY COULTERSLarge 20" utility coulters cut residue directly in front of the shanks. This allows it to pass by without catching the shanks.
ADJUSTABLE GAUGE WHEELA screw jack makes adjusting the gauge wheels simple and easy.
SHANK SPACING OPTIONSMultiple shank spacings allow the Sub-Soiler to be tailored to your specific soil needs.
